Steve and Peggy were just adorable in the movie, ok? And perfect, and stunningly sad, and I had lots of feelings. So I had to paint something. Hope you like it :)
#god sometimes i think about peggy and just get really really sad #i wonder if she sat at home that night and played dance music to herself while looking at that picture of steve from the paper #the only one she had of him #and had a moment of private grief #to cry for the man she only ever got to kiss once #i wonder if they had a funeral for him with an empty coffin #and she stood at the service and was as strong as any of the military men #she must have found someone else and settled down eventually; she had a daughter #but i wonder if steve was always in the back of her mind #i wonder if she found it hard to listen to dance hall music for the rest of her life #remembering the man who she never got to have that date with #the right partner but they never got to dance
